Everett Nicolai, DPT,
OMT, FAAOMPT

Licensed Physical Therapist

Everett has been a licensed physical therapist since 2006, who brings a deeply holistic, integrative approach to healing. He believes every person carries a unique set of experiences - physical, emotional, and lived - and he is committed to seeing the whole human behind the symptoms.

Everett helps individuals navigating musculoskeletal pain, chronic conditions, movement dysfunction, and functional limitations. His care blends evidence‑based physical therapy with mindful, whole‑body strategies to help patients reconnect with their bodies, restore ease in movement, and return to the activities that bring meaning and joy in everyday life.

His work centers on understanding the deeper patterns that drive symptoms, tension, pain, movement limitations, and other disruptions in the body’s natural balance.

His manual therapy approach centers on identifying the specific tissues contributing to a patient’s symptoms—whether disc, muscle, joint, cartilage, nerve, or other structures—and applying the appropriate type of stimulus that best supports that tissue’s healing. He recognizes that tissues heal in a hierarchy, with the spine often serving as a central driver of dysfunction and recovery. Treatment includes education on tissue healing, softtissue techniques, joint mobilization and manipulation, visceral or vascular mobilization, nerve healing, and scientific therapeutic exercise progression to promote healing and restore function through an active approach.

In his spare time, he spends time with his husband and their daughter, stewarding his native forest, writing fantasy novels, hiking, growing food in the garden and orchard, or eating it! He also teaches manual therapy coursework for the Ola Grimsby Institute.
